Dr Chan is a kind and patient Doctor. Shes’s been our family Family Doctor for many years and I would not change her for any other doctor. I think she is the best doctor in town. Punctuality wise I gave her a 4 because usually if my appointment is at 9 I get called in 45 minutes later. The nurse Iris is great. Our only complaint is the secretary or receptionist,(Monika) she is usually very rude; not patience or kindness at all especially over the phone. She acts like she is the doctor and we hate the fact that we have to let her know the reason for which we need to see the doctor, I’m not the only one feeling this way, I have talked to other patients and they feel the same way about her. That information should be confidential between Dr and patient. Unfortunately this lady receptionist made us consider many times about changing doctors.

i came in to bellfarm clinc and she told me i had shingles...just by loooking ..i was in so much pain the next few days i felt like i could have had 6 kids naturally....im hping she will take me on or at least see me ...i cant get a phone number for her

Every time I called the office I was told to "just go to a walk-in" ...so I did. And then I found a new doctor that actually has time for me.

I have been a patient of Dr.Chan for Several years now . Over the course of the past 4 I have developed several Health Conditions, Which are all really difficult to deal with, Over the course of this time, I've been untreated and UNDIAGNOSED for a stomach issue , knee and shoulder deterioration (the nurse practitioner diagnosed with no xray or ultra sound, to which she was wrong) , Ohh yeah I can't fail to mention I've brought up my chest pains to her that I've had going on for the past couple years (in all cases, she brushed it off and said it was nothing). I have had multiple walk-in clinic visits, to which I am no closer to figuring out my ailments. Even referrals she said she sent out, I never received a call back for. I called to find out my referral to see the orthopedic surgeon was 7 months ago, and I missed it cause I never got a call. One secretary in the office is quite the stuck up ***** !! She deliberately hates on any client of Dr. Chan's, tampers with medical documents and she needs to get a head on her shoulders; if she wants to be in the medical profession. As for Dr. Chan, she is an in-compassionate, keyboard warrior who would rather consult WebMD.com than do her own damn job!!! If you have her as a Family Physician, GET RID OF HER!! Shes clueless!! You would have better luck being treated at the walk-in's or the RVH. And to anyone who reads this and agrees, please post a review to expose what a under-educated doctor she is!!

Laura makes it very comfortable to speak about any concerns. She doesn't have a god complex....she knows when you need a specialist and has no hesitation to refer you. She is compassionate and easy to talk out all your concerns.

Does not entertain any discussion - just keeps typing on her computer. Lacks ability to properly diagnose illness like asthma. Does make referrals to specialists which is about the only good thing I can say.

I have been a patient of Dr.Chan for 2 yrs now. She is an excellent doctor. She uses her computer to chart the patients complaints and the computer is very much needed to check medication safety, to learn about patients disease, it is the lifeline to a doctor these days. She is very gentle and if for example the patient has chronic pain she does not put the patient through more suffering by firm examinations. Special tests are required to rule out certain conditions and to verify whether conditions e.g. heart conditions have not worsened. Patients must realize that computers are the new way to aid the doctor so that a patient receives safe , accurate care. Dr.Chan is very kind hearted and truly cares for her patients. I have seen jump in to be my advocate so that i receive good safe care with my meds etc. If she is 15 to 20 minutes late, it is always because she is taking care of another patient to make sure she doesnt rush for i would rather have a doctor who gives me adequate attention rather than rush patients. I feel that anyone who has misread her is one who maybe doesnt understand the new and better way doctors are taught. As far as Dr.Chans staff they are all excellent, they will try to get an ill patient in even on short notice. I am grateful to have a doctor who is compassionate and caring towards my chronic pain etc.
