I have been a patient of Dr.Chan for 2 yrs now. She is an excellent doctor. She uses her computer to chart the patients complaints and the computer is very much needed to check medication safety, to learn about patients disease, it is the lifeline to a doctor these days. She is very gentle and if for example the patient has chronic pain she does not put the patient through more suffering by firm examinations. Special tests are required to rule out certain conditions and to verify whether conditions e.g. heart conditions have not worsened. Patients must realize that computers are the new way to aid the doctor so that a patient receives safe , accurate care. Dr.Chan is very kind hearted and truly cares for her patients. I have seen jump in to be my advocate so that i receive good safe care with my meds etc. If she is 15 to 20 minutes late, it is always because she is taking care of another patient to make sure she doesnt rush for i would rather have a doctor who gives me adequate attention rather than rush patients. I feel that anyone who has misread her is one who maybe doesnt understand the new and better way doctors are taught. As far as Dr.Chans staff they are all excellent, they will try to get an ill patient in even on short notice. I am grateful to have a doctor who is compassionate and caring towards my chronic pain etc.
