Dr. Salam is a brilliant, caring and extremely compassionate physician. I have never encountered another doctor (in 65 years!) who is so competent, lively and direct as she. Dr. Salam should be a role model to other physicians as she combines those rare attributes of attentiveness, brilliant diagnostic ability and humanity. I hope that she will consider teaching at some stage of her career as she embodies the essence of what it means to be a leader in her field. My heartfelt thanks. E. Kirby
