Dr.Burke is an amazing family doctor and has been so for 24 years now. I live 2 hours away from Bowmanville now, but continue to keep him as a GP for his knowledge, ability to relate to patients and truly consider the symptoms or complaints patients are bringing forward. On countless occasions Dr.Burke has advocated on my behalf to specialists when I not receiving prompt treatment. Dr.Burke mentors many medical students and continues to give back to the community.

When I moved to Bowmanville twenty five years ago, I was lucky enough to find Dr. Burke. I can't say enough to support this good and kind man. Patient, interactive and a sense of humor. All notable attributes of a stellar GP.

The most amazing GP ever. He REALLY listens to his patients. Dr. Burke is receptive to me as a patient doing my own research and has never hesitated to refer me to a specialist when I have requested this. He also mentors many residents through U of T and encourages GPs to set up practice in Bowmanville. He's participating in Doctors Without Borders for 2 weeks this year to help needy people in a "have-not" country. We need to clone doctors like him.
