Dr. Book is a compassionate and caring physician; someone you can trust implicitly. I highly recommend him. Deb and Deborah are wonderful staff members. You are always greeted with a smile and a caring word. What more could you ask for?

I've been seeing Dr. Book for a few months and usually, our meetings are brief. I'm not there for a long winded conversation about how I feel my life sucks, and he's not there to listen about mundane nonsense. The only problem I've had while dealing with Dr. Book is the hours to schedule an appointment or to get a hold of the secretary. You cannot leave a message, and you only have 2 hours a day to call. Which is rather unfortunate if you're quite forgetful, as well as busy like myself.

The average time I spend with Dr. Book is approximately 4-5 minutes each visit. My appointments are at the end of the day and while I'm talking he is already packing his things, closing blinds, etc. Phone calls are only accepted between the hours of 9 to 11 and 1 to 3 which is ridiculous due the amount of people that work during those hours. Completely unimpressed.

I have been seeing Dr. Book for over a year now. He has always been a very accepting and compassionate doctor. I feel comfortable discussing any issues I may have with him. Nice guy, and funny too.

Dr. Book shows a great deal of compassion and is sensitive to the safety of his patients. His use of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (Mind over Mood workbook) is a widely accepted treatment for mental health issues. Medical specialists are all busy professionals but Dr. Book takes the time to listen as well as talk with the patient.

Dr. Book is a great doctor and I respect his practice, work ethics and he is straight forward. He listens to my concerns and fears and helps me to trust him as he continues to monitor my mental health. He truly is a great and honest doctor. (as a patient as long as you are being honest too)

Finally received help after seeing Dr Book-saw other Psychiatrists over 10 years. Life-changing to be properly diagnosed and proper meds & dosage. He is down to earth and easy to talk to. I am able to work full-time and I don't find him to be a drug pusher. He recommended a CBT Workbook-Mind Over Mood-for regular self-help.

A pusher. Drugs seem to be the only trick in his repertoire. Totally failed me, negligently prescribed yet another chemical fix, then left me out to dry for weeks without an appointment. VERY angry with his cavalier attitude and his arrogance.

This doctor has a generic formula for treating all patients. First you will receive a prescription for Celexa and maybe something to help you sleep, like Remeron. Then Dr. Book encourages you to purchase a workbook. He also says in the first meeting "If you have any issues with Sexual Abuse you'll need to see someone else - I don't work with that. Lastly, you'll hear more about his family and dog than he will ever ask about you. Very disappointing.
