Someone very close to me who doctors with Dr. Edington has been suffering for months, with much discomfort typical of an ulcer. Dr. Edington ordered a few tests (GI Series, CT Scan) concluding that the discomfort is the result a few gallbladder stones, even though the symptoms weren't really typical of gallbladder stones. The discomfort continues to disturb rest and is causing weakness, so I took my loved one to emergency. When the ER doctors took a closer look at the CT scan they saw a lesion on the pancreas, possibly cancer, and ordered an MRI....I'm reading that symptoms of pancreatic cancer are very similar to those of stomach ulcer. Although the diagnosis in this case is not critical due to old age, this person will be able to better cope with symptoms, knowing what is causing them. The MRI will be more conclusive with regard to an accurate diagnosis.
