Not Helpful. Judgmental versus fact finding and trying to deal with my husbands problem. He seemed like in a rush to get us out of his office(even though it's obvious that he has nothing but open appointments...we are able to call at any time and get an appointment within an hour or two.) His bedside manner was insulting as he just pushed my husband into a group of people and he really wasn't helpful. We're going to call (BEG) the OHIP phone help number for another doctor as this one treats his doctors like they're dollar signs versus helping people needing help.

Has no understanding on how to care for some-one with spinal cord injuries. Zero knowledge on how to manage a patient with a diverse medical history. He does "not understand or make sense" of pain disorders.

He is never in his office, has no answering service. Unable to reach him in any way. Will be complaining to the College of Physicians and Surgeons about his behaviour. The only thing in his favour is that he occasionally makes house calls, but don't rely on him showing up when he says he will. He has said he will send prescriptions to the pharmacy and has not done so. Pharmacy cannot reach him except by fax, which can take days to be answered, this has caused severe stress to my elderly mother.

I am so disappointed in this doctor. He is not open to patient suggestions and laughs if you make one. I left his office almost in tears due to his lack of compassion.

He took me on when no one else would. He's thourough but yet lets you contribute to your care by asking what you need. He sends you were you should be. He is an amazing doctor. I lucked out.He's on time. Takes you in even last minute the staff is friendly and helpful. Its like having an old family doctor the ones that use to care

I have been in several times now and met Dr.Atta and his kind staff...I must admit i was skeptical but over come my first impression..and found Dr.Atta very thorough..informative,caring,offered referrals..and even gave me the no smoking speech ( I hate those ones and with the new year coming..I promise to work on it lol )..All of my calls have been answered each and every time and when I do book an appointment they offer me within 48 hrs...or sooner if required. I have always had female physicians so this was a difficult transition for me. I also would like to thank health connect website for giving me a doctor when so few are accepting patients. good luck to Dr. Atta and all his patients..

Changed doctors to a local one so I could get appointments easier. Dr Atta is NEVER available. Office phone is answered maybe 5% of the time during regular business hours, the voicemail box is ALWAYS full. Does not listen when describing health problems, goes in one ear and out the other. I typically have more success being seen and getting treated at a walk in clinic, where I have to wait HOURS, than I do with Dr Atta.
