Dr Bustani is beyond awesome. I have Never had or seen a more caring and dedicated doctor to his profession and his patients. He treats every patient like a family member and refuses to give up, brain storming, doing all sorts of test and calling on different specialists just to try to figure out what was causing the fever that my 89yr old mother in law had. Most doctors would just give some tylenol and antibiotics, call it a day and hope for the best. Doctor Bustani wasn't just hoping for the best he was trying his best. The way Doctor Bustani cared and listened to the patient and family members. you felt like you were his only patient and he had all the time in the world for you and your ill family member. And that's why he was always there till late at night just giving everyone the time of day of his whole day. Thank you so much Doctor Bustani we were always so happy to see you come back to the units which were in or transferred to, even if it was just for the weekend.

Dr. Bustani exceeded all possible expectations of a doctor,let alone a hospital doctor. My daughter was recently under his care for about two days at QCH, although itt felt like my daughter was treated to private practice, superb private practice at that. Dr. Bustani asked my daughter questions and truly and patiently listened to her answers before taking the time himself to thoroughly check her out, work any lesser doctor would have gladly handed over to the nursing staff. Dr. Bustani then carefully weighed risks and decided to keep her for another day for observation, which was the appropriate decision. When he promised to be back the next day for a follow up, I could see the light in my daughter's eyes. The QCH, indeed Ottawa and Canada, are lucky to have Dr. Bustani as part of the system.

Dr Laith Bustani was the doctor attending my 93 year old friend whom I took QCH severely dehydrated - broken bones and kideny infection. He was amazing. Against pressures (because of her age) from other staff he kept her in until she was fully healed. He truly has a desire to help people and to make a difference in people’s lives. Amazing medical care, I was on travels to Ottawa with some college friends and have never seen such a positive, upbeat doctor - and i have been in and out of hospitals with snowboard related injuries my whole life. Well done doc, and thank you.
