My wife and I moved to Alliston two years ago and we immediately found it to be a very pleasant and welcoming town, but I must admit we were apprehensive about one thing: will we be able to find a good family doctor, locally? Thankfully, that apprehension is no longer a concern. We found Doctor Palmer and her amazing medical team! I have to admit here that we probably would have made the long trek to Toronto if our doctor of the last 50 years was still practicing, but unfortunately due to his ill health he had to retire. Ironically, we too are now retired, and our new doctor has a much more formable task. We will be comparing her with an old and trusted friend and our medical condition, like our former doctor’s, has diminished considerably. Fortunately, Dr. Palmer is more than up to the task. Dr. Palmer is not only very capable herself; she also works with a well-coordinated medical team. This in itself is not unusual. More and more doctors today are doing the same thing. Doctor Palmer’s office is in a medical building: A Wellness Centre. The medical profession has had to virtually reinvent itself to be able to deal not only with an aging population but a far more critical one. Gone are the days when doctors were placed on a pedestal and their prescriptions and advice were followed emphatically without question. This is the information age, and Doctor Google is often consulted both before and after our visit to the doctor’s office. Paradoxically, this is both a good and a bad thing; but be it suffice to say our new doctor is more than up to the task and it behooves me to express my gratitude in this space.

The way she talked to us on our first visit (She don't have time to listen our problems, and we wait for her for almost an hour.. very very rude!!!!

Worst doctor I have ever met. She "treats" my elderly father, yet sits at her desk most of the time and doesn't do any physical health checks at all. She sends him for tests for potentially serious symptoms and books follow-ups for 4-6 weeks later.

Dr Parmar is not able to take care of your problem in one visit. She requires that you come back another time to see if the problem still exists in the future. It took 6 mo for her to address/treat my high BP. If you suggest a treatment plan, she will do the opposite or refuse to treat the problem. She makes statements that demonstrate a poor knowledge base. I would not recommend this doctor.

Dr Parmar is very knowledgable and updated in medical practise. I feel very grateful to have been taken on by her. She is great with the kids as well.
