My family has been going to Dr. Khan since we moved to Brantford. Initially, things were very good. The office was well run, appointments set easily although he was on holiday a lot. The last 2-3 years things have been progressively getting worst. Contrary to what a previous poster has said, you cannot book same day appointments with his office. Example, my 3-4 year old son had an extremely bad cough. His office blew us off like they normally do. I tried to explain that it was a serious cough that was getting worse, but they just redirected me to the Emergency Room if it was bad. That is HORRIBLE. To use the resources of a hospital because a doctor's office is doesn't manage their appointments well enough. By that evening I ended up rushing my son to Sick Kid's Hospital because I was afraid he was going to stop breathing. He ended up needing an injection of steroids to settle things down for him. It's absolutely awful planning. My previous doctor would keep some appointments open everyday for urgent situations. It seems that his office just wants to max out on billing though. Appointment wait times are ridiculous. We are expected to show up for our appointments on time, yet the amount of times I have waited 1h+ is unbelievable. I've started to book appointments 4-6 weeks out now JUST so I can get the first appointment of the day, because that is the only way I don't have to wait a ridiculous amount of time (although he is even late for those appointments). I would agree with the previous poster that said he is dismissive to important information. We had an appointment booked for an on going issue with my daughter and we showed up for a follow up appointment after being set for weeks, only to find that it was a Physicians' Assistant there. Would not have been an issue except that everything that I mentioned was "I'll talk to Dr. Khan about it". Why waste my time?? If your staff can't do anything about the issues brought up then reschedule the appointment. I expressed my frustration to the P.A. asking "why are we hear if you can't do anything until Dr. Khan gets back". During the next visit with Dr. Khan he told me that I was being rude to his staff and they were uncomfortable with me. If they are uncomfortable with me asking such a question, that's a little silly. In addition, nothing was accomplished with that appointment, or the next one for that matter. I would not recommend this doctor's office to anyone and am in the process of looking for a new doctor.

Tried to get in to see Dr. Kahn 3 times last winter. Each time it was a two week wait time and I was told to go to the walk-in clinic. My recent visit he did not address an on-going issue,regarding my ankle. Three times during the appointment he asked me which ankle was bothering me. I have been going to him for over 5 years regarding the same issue for my ankle. As with my last 3 visits in 3 years he sent me for blood work, xrays and an ultrasound. I found him to be very dismissive and ignored important information that I was trying to present to him. Lastly he gave me a box of arthritis medication, even though I have never been diagnosed with arthritis and I had mentioned in my appointment that I prefer not to take over the counter medication unless I have been properly diagnosed. At home I noticed the expiry date on the box was in two weeks. I have another appointment scheduled for January and I am currently looking for a new doctor.

Always accomodating, he will make time for you if you need a same day appointment. He usually gives up his lunch.
