Dr. Punthakee is a no nonsense type of Dr.He is carrying, extremely compassionate, wants his patient to do well, and wants them to follow his instructions because he knows that after the surgery to get well soon that is what is required. I dis agree with some of the previous comments about his direct approach, You go to a Dr. to get well not to socialize. I recommend Dr. Punthaly to those who wants to get their surgery successful.

I am so grateful to Dr. Punthakee for getting me walking pain free. Yes he says it like it is but he cares and wants us to do well. I listened to what he said and followed his instructions and have done very well. Wonderful caring surgeon. Thank you so much for all you did for me. You are the best. I am so glad I was referred to you.

Can't say much about his staff, but this man is by far the most unprofessional doctor in Hamilton. He has a short fuse and loves to be mean. Moreover, he is in such a rush and so busy yelling at people that he makes major mistakes. Terrible man that needs to retire ASAP

This man is a legend in his own mind. Don't bother attempting a reasonable, intelligent discussion - he knows all and his way is the only way. Expect to wait minimum of 1 hour past the scheduled appointment time to see him. He is busy and his time is far more valuable than anyone else's on the planet. Any conversation you have in his Victoria office will not be private. Conversations will be heard throughout the office. I don't think he this way on purpose - he just is. To be fair, I believe he is a decent surgeon. If you're willing to tolerate his kind of blatant arrogance, more power to you. As for myself, I prefer a doctor who I can have a 2 way conversation with.
