Dr. Calvo has an excellent grasp of her specialty - I've been in her care for celiac plexus blocks and just recently, help weaning from opiates. She is one of the very few doctors in Canada that can do this type of nerve block that requires supreme interventionist skills and nerves of steel. Most other doctors are content to shove these dangerous meds down their patients' throats because it's too difficult to address the real problem - addiction and withdrawal sickness for the patients that want to stop taking opiates. Dr. Calvos supports the need to use prescriptions when appropriate and will come up with innovative ways to help when the time comes to get off the smack. Keep up the good work Dr. Calvo. Note about staff: They are overworked because of the extreme demand on the doctors' time and it's made one or two bitter and not very helpful but generally, the staff are very caring.
