Dr. Hollins can seem aloof and perhaps even uncaring because he is so busy. But I have found that if you ask him a question, he will respond with care and compassion. He is a first-rate surgeon and knows his stuff.

I have been seeing Dr. Russell Hollands now for about 4 years. He has always demonstrated fairness and a willingness to address my concerns as a patient. I know he has a very busy schedule and comes across to the point. Time/efficiency is for him understandable important. He knows his Job well and glad and grateful, to be in his care.

As a cancer patient I was very nervous about my appointment with Dr Hollins. He was very professional in explaining things and allaying my unjustified fears. He did a biopsy on the spot and promised a quick response. I was very relieved after my appointment and felt I was in good hands. Thank you Dr. Hollins.

After waiting almost 5 months to get an appointment with Dr. Hollins, he did a minimal physical examination, he looked in my ears and then my mouth,"say aah" and made some dismissive comments about my issues and bid me farewell, I felt frustrated by his lack of compassion, and felt he wasn't fully listening to my concerns. I still have unanswered questions.

Dr. Hollins made me feel so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave. He was very condescending and arrogant. I was nervous about surgery and he offered no understanding whatsoever.

Dr. Hollins carefully explained the procedure and made sure I understood. He was friendly, kind and considerate before, during and after my procedure. He and his staff made me feel that my welfare was important. He has an sense of humour, which contributed to putting me at ease. I hope never to have another procedure of this kind, but if I must, I would choose him to perform it.

I found my appointment with him to be frustrating and a waste of time. He was of absolutely no help and was far too high on his horse. After waiting four months to have my issue solved I left in frustration and tears.
