He was an excellent replacement for Dr Bourne contrary to what I have read. The Ortho clinic books him and his punctuality depends on the patients and their needs...not how fast he moves. He has been an amazing doctor for me since Dr Bourne retired. Caring, pleasant, answering all questions I ask and follow-up appointments well designated. He is a wonderful addition to London HSC Orthopedic Unit. Hope his is around much longer than I am.

too bad the chart doesn't let me give Dr. Lanting a true report -- for Caring I would have to give much, much higher than a 5 -- like 10+. Fantastic to be fortunate enough to have been his patient.

Once again Dr. Lanting was amazing during my husband's hip replacement. Staff was caring, supportive and Dr. Lanting has a caring side of him that helped not only my husband but me as well.

Dr. Lanting & his team did a terrific job on my hip replacement this morning! I have never been treated in a hospital before so at 69 years of age, I have to say that everyone was terrific in the way they cared for me! Now I believe the restis up to me to follow the Doctor's orders for rehab! Thanks again!

I had considerable pain in my leg for 3 years and endured 2 separate surgeries: still major issues. I was then referred to Dr Lanting. From the outset this man was a kind, caring compassionate individual who truly cared about his profession and his patients. I had a total hip replacement by the anterior method and was walking within hours of the surgery. I was discharged that same day. By Day 2 I was walking around the block with crutches and the end of the week I was simply using a cane. I am three weeks post surgery and have my aids nearby but am not using them. The compassion, expertise and professionalism of this individual is second to none. We are lucky to have his prowess in London and I considerable myself incredibly fortunate to have been referred to him as my surgeon. I am hopeful for an expedited recovery but am being cautious as I don't want to impede the masterful work conducted. I also have a minimal scar from the procedure, so in every way I am simply ecstatic. God Bless you Dr Lanting. I am very grateful.

Absolutely the best pre-op and post-op care ever. Dr. Lanting did a superb job with my hip replacement surgery. I have had zero problems since the operation 9 months ago.

Not happy with Dr Lanting compared to Dr Bourne who was my original Dr until he retired.Since my knee replacement 6 months ago have been to the clinic 3 times I have only seen Dr Lanting for a total of 2 minutes the last 2 visits I have only seen his fellows and each one has given me a different reason for the problem. Am now going to ask for an appointment with another surgeon for a second opinion . Nothing like Dr Bourne

I knew during my consultation with Dr. Lanting in August 2014, after having a similar meeting with another doctor in February, that I was totally comfortable with my decision to have Dr. Lanting preform an Antieror Direct procedure on my hip. I had had a lateral hip replacement on the other hip twelve years earlier also due to significant osteoarthritis. The recovery time and the restrictions of that first surgery were long in duration and even after months of intensive physio, i evidenced a considerable limp due to the the fact that that the large muscle was cut in the lateral process. In the direct anterior total hip replacement done by Dr.Lanting, the incision was done at close to the top of the hip joint, requiring an incision half the length of the lateral process, thus less invasive, less recovery required, less restrictions immediately after surgery. I would say that my recovery from this recent surgery was advanced by at least 50% from my first hip surgery. I couldn't imagine choosing the lateral approach over the anterior direct....I will be back to work in 4 weeks and driving again in 6 weeks. My life will return to normal..walking, bike riding, swimming and driving long distances for my work.
