On September 12, 2016 I called the doctor’s office as the secretary failed to call to confirm a booked surgery appointment for September 14, 2016 as per their own policy, leaving me without any options for child care, home care, etc. The policy which is not a courtesy is to inform patients at least 1 week before surgery. The secretary mentioned in passing about the booked surgery date only because I contacted her desk after leaving many messages with only 3 days before surgery and she made excuses that they were off for 2 weeks holidays while leaving my family in limbo (no communication). In March 2016, she sent erroneous failure to show reports to my family doctor without my knowledge when I had never even spoken to or been to their office (I received no apologies for this mix up). October 25, 2016, I returned a voice message to the office and the secretary was very rude and dismissive. They have with short notice now cancelled on October 25, 2016 a very critical surgery date (hernia coming close to being strangulated) for November 2, 2016 without proper notification which is quite unreliable. The secretary’s response was that I had cancelled before so I guess I am being punished for that, even though the doctor’s office failed to communicate their schedule to their patients in a timely manner. The secretary was impatient when corresponding by phone and deals with people in annoyance as if we have no option and the office can exist without patients. It's a shame that front line staff creates a bad picture for the entire office. It’s my first time attending this office and surely the last. Patient lost.

Possibly the kindest, most compassionate physician I've ever met. Great sense of humor and availability to patients to discuss their concerns. Fantastic surgeon.Restored my faith in allopathic medicine.

After one year of my glad bladder surgery I can say that the doctor Coughlan is a great physician. If you looking for a good physician who cares about people, you have to meet to Dr. Coughlan. He is warm, with attentive manner, it make a big difference in seeing you through challenging situations.

Amazing doctor. Extremely caring and compassionate. He did my gallbladder removal and recent colonscopy and put me totally at ease and answered all of my questions. My recovery from surgery was super easy and I was never in any discomfort for either procedure. Highly recommend him.

A very competent Doctor.He is relaxed and calm when making his bedside rounds.He gives you his total undivided attention.He performed a surgical sigmoid resection on me in May 2011 and happily he gave me back my life to enjoy.Dr.Coughlan is the BEST!!Thank you.
