My husband & I have been Dr. Shum's patients for over 20 years. My appointments are usually within 15 minutes of the allotted time; his diagnosis and treatment helpful, he has always referred to a specialist in a timely manner; he shares all results and treatment options; and his staff are helpful and friendly.

I was a patient of Dr. Shum for over 25 years, I refuse to go back to his office because 2 different issues, #1 my appoint would be for (lets say) 1:00, I would always show up minimum 15 minutes early and have to wait 1 1/2 hours and watch people that come in after me get seen first. #2 he would send me to a specialist for diabetes and continue with the same treatment and not take the specialist recommendation. Found new Doctor which has everything under control now (within 2-3 months)

I've been a patient of his for years, but lately I've found his attitude towards me quite abrupt. He was never the friendliest, but I think I've had enough!

Dr. Shum seems to be very knowledgeable about traditional medicine but not open to alternatives. One of his staff is very rude.

Despite anything anybody says, he has been 100% accurate when it has come to me, my daughter and my husband. He has made the right referrals and his diagonosis has always been correct
