Dr Ayeni was the kindest surgeon I could ever hope for. I was sent to Dr Ayeni after the unexpected diagnosis of breast cancer. At only 46, I was really struggling with a cancer diagnosis - but also fears about body image after surgery. I was sent to Dr Ayeni to consider having immediate breast reconstruction at the time of my double mastectomy. The diagnosis - and all that comes with cancer was highly stressful, but, Dr Ayeni took the time to explain all my reconstructive options. He was so compassionate and helpful at my initial consultation and at the day of surgery. My husband was really struggling with my diagnosis and fears for me - Dr Ayeni went over everything with both of us. After surgery - he went out to reassure my husband that everything went well. My care in hospital was exceptional also. After discharge - he saw me regularly in the office in the early post recovery stage, and now only intermittently as I am almost at full recovery. His empathy, communication and time spent was so appreciated. Now - let's talk about the aesthetic part. Yes, I am so happy to be cancer free - but, I have so say, I am exceptionally pleased with my post surgical appearance. I had a bilateral mastectomy, skin sparing with reconstruction using implants. My post op breast shape (after mastectomy) would rival a traditional cosmetic augmentation. My incisions are neatly hidden in the lower fold. The incisions are flat and perfect. I'm really happy with the shape - no one would ever know that I ever had surgery. I'm symmetric and natural looking. All I can say to Dr Ayeni is thank you! And, if you are reading my review, I just wanted to reassure you (especially if you are also a cancer patient) that things can be good, and you can be healthy again. If you are considering Dr Ayeni for a cosmetic procedure - I would highly recommend him. If he can rebuild me after mastectomy, I'm confident he can do wonderful things for you also
