I also had seen many doctors and was written off all the time until finally I got a doctor who was intelligent and actually paid attention. It's a relief to get a real answer, even if it's a bad one.

He was very calm and attentive to my aging mother and when she was in the hospital - he took the time to make additional phone calls to the nurses to ensure they had the most up to date info on her case.
