I have gone to Dr. Makar several times and find him to be very knowledgeable about what he has to do and explaines the surgery process so you can understand what is going to be done, once you leave his office you feel reassured all is going to be fine , thanks for making my surgery less stressful by all information you gave.

I went into emerge not able to catch my breath. After several test l was told l had a large tumor in my stomach. Dr Makar removed the gastric schwannoma a rare tumor along with a partial gastrectomy. Thanks to Dr Makar and the wonderful staff at Soldiers Memorial l was up and moving the day of my surgery and went home two days later. Four weeks later l was skating with my grandchildren. Dr Makar said l did very well with my surgery my response was no Dr Makar you did very well.

Dr Makar began treating me after I complained about acid reflux which caused a cronic cough and many sleepless nights.After a thourough investigation he performed a procedure called laprascopic nissen's fundoplication and also a cholecystectomy.He is very caring and knowledgeable. I did not feel rushed at his office and all my questions were answered. I would highly recommend Dr. Makar.

I first Met the Dr. at OSMH for a medical procedure. He was very respectful, spoke to me without being condescending, as some physicians can be. I was pleased with the care of both himself and the nursing staff at the endoscopy dept.

In my opinion, the slightly lower rate for punctuality is due to his taking time to talk with his patients instead of rushing them out.
