March 31/l7 Fri I saw Dr. Poyner in Lakeridge Emergency Hospital. I was in a great deal of pain in the area of my right kidney. Ultrasound in Feb 2016 showed I had a CYST on my right Kidney. I could hardly walk from the pain and had NO urine sample for nurses. Dr Poyner just told me to see my family doctor about this problem. I told him my GP was not in his office on Fridays or weekends, so seeing him asap was not possible. He said the emergency ward was there for just that and not for things like this. He repeated I see my "Family Dr" again. I told him to check my previous Feb visit so he did and saw the cyst on my kidney. He just repeated I see my GP again. I told him I was not impressed with his comments, thought he was rude, and left the hospital upset with him. Maybe it is time he changed careers because he doesn't seem to care about sick people !

Looks like he wrote the two reviews above. One of the worst ER MDs, I have ever heard of. Heard he is good with children though.

Dr Poyner was my ER doc in emerge at Oshawa general. Friendly, astute and knew his material! Very professional and would love to have him lok after me very time I was needing someone with a level head.

Dr. Poyner is a wonderful, caring and thorough doctor who was very attentive during my visit to the Emerg. Dept. in Collingwood. He kept me informed of everything that was going on and demonstrated the utmost professionalism. I wish that we could have him as our family doctor.
