I know there is a shortage of specialists in Ontario and that you're rushed but you really need to explain to your patients what their condition is after you make a diagnosis. Not letting me place a word and giving me a prescription and rushing me out of your office wasn't much fun. On my follow up visit, you knew about my condition but did not want to hear about my new symptoms. I was ''already on the best meds and just depressed''. I guess that depression is an easy way to get rid of many patients. I probably am depressed but only because I vomit every day...If you had helped me with that, I would most likely be less depressed. So yes, people with chronic conditions will be depressed. Help them with the reason why they are depressed and you will be much more useful than letting us know what we already know: our lives suck due to health issues and we are depressed.
