Dr. Lapointe has been very patient with me after the initial diagnosis. I had a new learning experience and it has taken me some time to follow through exactly with her advice. She is knowledgable and explains things carefully. I had been misdiagnosed by a previous doctor and now feel that there is hope that my eye situation will be so much better. working together

Dr Lapointe and her staff in my experience were professional, friendly, competent and timely. I had a fairly advanced cataract in my right eye. It was only 9 days from the first visit with her on referral from my optometrist until my surgery (I was on a cancellation list standby). The results were amazing; not even an irritated feeling in the eye, which can sometimes be a side effect. I was nearly blind in my right eye and I now have clear vision. Postoperative care was excellent with all my questions patiently answered. Overall I could not have asked for a better experience. The charge for the IOL Master exam is not covered by OHIP but provides more comprehensive measurement data than the more limiting measurement system that is covered.
