The best family doctor I ever had since I left DND in May 2001,I first knew him as a physiotherapist before he became an MD, too bad that we now have to talk to each other by phone only because of COVID-19 his bed side manners are always second to none.

In the dictionary, under the definition of “family doctor”, you wii find the name of Dr. Todd Gauthier. Five words that describe him would be caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, progressive and professional. I appreciate his listening skills and the way he values my opinion; making the relationship a true partnership in terms of my health care. His support staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive, especially when it comes to following up with specialists referrals. Finally, Dr. Gauthier should be commended on his leadership with Pembroke Hospital’s affiliation with the University of Ottawa as a teaching hospital.

I have always had an over-all great service, but however when I am not being seen by my family doctor who is: Dr. Todd Gauthtier, I have seen me wait as long as 1 hour, which I was not pleased, however when I am seen by Dr. Gauthier, he is very punncutual and very nice to deal with. He does address any concerns I may have and my overall experience it is a great experience and knowledge., now getting back to his back up doctors whom I have come to understand are doctors in training in which I am o.k. with at times, but they make you wait far too ong for our appts and gone way passed the provided appt! and another thing that bothers me is waiting so long to getting an apt with my family doctor whom is: Dr Todd Gauthier, a good doctor would never make you wait that long that is too extreme and this has happened on more then one occasion, so I would like to see this change as I donnt believe it is good ethics on the doctors part, this is more of a concern to me then anything! and having to explain my condition over and over because of all the other student doctors that are there and I am wanting to to see one doctor and that is Dr, Todd Gauthier, thank you for your time and I am really hoping this will change as it is not very professional that I have to explain myself to so many doctors, especially whhen I have very significant health problems, Thank you, Brenda Fox

He was very pleasant on our first meet and greet very good manners and showed compassion and always greeted you with a smile and hand shake,It is wonderful that me and my husband have him as a family doctor, truly blessed to have him, wo.nderful and very helpful doctor and the staff is spectacular as well, I smile going there being treated with respect, thank you so much for all your beautiful smiles and great information
