I found Dr. Barr to be knowledgeable but arrogant and he appeared to be mostly concerned with the cosmetic aspect of this type of surgery. I was refused surgery because I am not the 'ideal' weight and was referred to his staff that look after gastric bypass. I think he needs to re-check his BMI chart information. There was no thought given to the fact that the surgery would have benefited me tremendously and that I have had no problems with any past surgeries. This doctor came recommended, but I came out of there feeling disillusioned and upset. He only seems to want to do surgeries on young and/or physically attractive people and not us ordinary folk so he can add some more 'model-type' photos to his brag wall. I do not recommend him for this reason.

waited 3 1/2 hours for a 10 minute procedure. supposed to be 2 hours. Nobody ever even had the courtesy to talk to me, just closed the door to the waiting room. He's arrogant, arrogant, but worth the crap for his skills...virtually no scarring and very pleased with outcome.

Dr.Barr is a very caring doctor.He is very intelligent and knows what he is doing.He tells you the way it is.He doesn't try to convince you to do something.He allows you to make the decision.He is also very helpful in trying to assist the individual with their achievement for a better outcome!! Would Definately go and see him again !!

Dr.Barr and his staff were amazing. They are so caring and very professional. Dr.Barr even called me at home to make sure I was doing fine after my surgery. There was always a nurse available if I had a question. I would recommend Barr Plastic Surgery in a heart beat. Thank you for changing my life.
