Dr. Bovett is an extraordinary doctor and human being. During the most difficult times during my husband's illness, I felt comforted and reassured when Dr. Bovett was on call at Sunnybrook for Oncology. Dr. Bovett is skilled, knowledgeable, personable, kind and compassionate and takes whatever time the patient and caregiver need to address all questions and to thoroughly explain in easily understood terms the full situation and the options -- which, in turn, instills such confidence in his recommendations. He is most definitely One of a Kind, a Rare Breed and Sunnybrook and the people of Toronto are so blessed to have him. I will never forget the support and huge comfort he provided to me and my husband and, at the end, the 2 1/2 hours he spent with me at my husband's bedside, just hours before my husband passed away. I discovered during our chat that morning that Dr. Bovett has considerable training in Palliative Care and it's so obvious, although I think this training just complemented his naturally kind and caring approach. I just can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Bovett. He's most definitely a gift to our Health Services Industry. May he live a long, healthy life so that a multitude of others may benefit from his amazing care, concern and kindness.

Dr. Bovett is great. He is kind, patient, reassuring and takes the time to explain what is needed to ensure his patients feel comfortable with the information provided. I wish all doctors demonstrated this level of care and professionalism .
