Poor bed-side manner – I was involved in a collision while playing sports and tore a hip-flexor and broke a couple of ribs. I went to Dr. Pound for x-rays and for something to help with the pain. Needless to say when asked to lie-down for an examination it was very painful as your hip and rib-cage muscles both engage. Jeremy stood beside the table and didn’t grab my arm, support my back or even ask if I needed help, even though I was obviously having difficulty and couldn’t hide the pain. After a quick examination he simply walked back to his computer and said, “you can get up now”, which I again had to struggle with. It only takes the smallest of gestures to identify with your patient and to assist if/as needed. Showed no concern for patients pain, very poor care! I did get the requisition for x-rays. With the lab in the same building I offered to stay for the results and was told not to bother as they would call me in the morning. Made sure they had my number, waited till 4:00pm the next day and called only to get disconnected, a follow-up call ring for several minutes and when my third call got through I was simply told you will have to wait till he calls you!? As a result, staff was difficult to get a hold of and no-help in getting answers.
