Arrived for my appointment 10-15 min early to find that the office was locked. Since schools were closed due to the freezing rain, I decided to call the office to confirm my appointment (my previous one was cancelled due to weather as well). The secretary spoke to me with the utmost disrespect as if I was putting her out by calling to confirm my appointment. Rather than simply advising me that the doors would be open momentarily, she chose to scold me in an offensively condescending manner for calling prior to the office opening hours. I was shocked by this treatment and said nothing in return. I chose best to ignore it and move on rather responding impulsively and stooping to her level. I entered the building a few min later and stood in line. No words were exchanged other than simple yes/no replies to questions. Before exiting the examination room Dr De Wett advised me that his staff told him that I was rude and hostile towards them! I was so dumbfounded I didn't even know how to respond. I had literally said NOTHING to this woman and now I was defending my character?!?! I left the office without scheduling anything. I would rather wait for hours in the ER then allow an old crotchety secretary to disrespect me. Shame on you Dr De Wett for allowing your staff to treat patients like that. I'm sure they are to blame for your dwindling clientele.

He saved my life! Without him taking me on as a patient, I would have been in a huge mess. Because of him, I'm healthier, walking and finally enjoying life!

This was for an annual physical. Dr De Wet was very systematic checking anything that was a problem since my last visit and anything that required follow upon from last year. He checked all of my vitals and checked my list of medicines I am now on. His nurse checked my blood pressure and gave me a flu shot that I requested. I find Dr. De Wet very easy to talk to if I have any questions. He had my blood work done and I, for a small fee, received a copy with everything noted as within normal limits. He also prescribed a bone density test.. I have great faith in the care I receive from Dr. De Wet and her nurse, Sue.

HE SAVE MY LIFE. HE CALL THE AMBULANCE. I NEEDED HEART BYPASS SURGERY . BY JUST LOOKING AT ME. now that is a testament. HE IS THE BEST .

Dr. Dewet has always been there for our family. He is sincerely considerate towards his patients. He makes the time to see you even at the last minute and always treats you with a grin. He is well educated in his field but not afraid to send my family to a specialist when needed or asked. He is a distinguished doctor and I'm assured in knowing he always has my best interest at heart. I could not say enough good things about him. He treats us as if we were his own family

Even if it means having trouble finding another doctor suggest you avoid this office. I have nothing good to say about it.

Like the previous reviewer, I constantly get calls to book unnecessary tests, and it always feels like you're rushed. Staff always look miserable especially the one right at the front that takes your health card. She looks like Grumpy Cat all the time.

Dr. de Wet attempts to book unnecessary appointments so he can bill OHIP. Years ago his staff attempted to charge me $45 for his signature on a back-to-work form. I've been less than impressed with my last few visits and am actively seeking another family doctor.

Rushes patient and refuses to discuss more than one issue, even if there is more than one serious issues. Who has time to make several appointments if they have multiple health problems. Even a prescription refill is considered an issue for a whole appointment. Rude and confrontational and makes you feel like you are inconveniencing him by asking questions about your health. He would probably prefer a drive-through.

Dr. de Wet is the best doctor I have ever had. He is extremely through and addresses your problems immediately.The office staff and the nurses are wonderful! They are efficient and very helpful. He keeps up with latest treatments and best practice .Dr De Wet will not hesitate to send you to a specialist and knows many of the best people in their medical fields. I have seen that some people have complained that he spends too much time on the computer ,nothing could be furthur from the truth. From what I have see the time spent looking at the computer is only what is required to review my files and the results of any tests .Dr De Wet is always intrested in my welfare but is all buisness .I can see how some might see this as rude or abrupt .but some people would like thier doctor to spend hours chating with them ,this is a unrealistic expectation and would be unfair to all the people waiting to see the Doctor. I for one am glad that doctor DeWit and his staff keep things moving along. I am alive today because Dr De Wet is a true professional.

Awesome Dr. He takes care of my whole family (sisters, Mother, brother in-law.) Very professional,very thorough. He is a very intelligent man. I have faith and trust in him and that is huge in this day and age. Listens to you. Big Office staff and they are all wonderful. The feel like family.
