My mother was under her car for years in Acton Ontario. During this time, she had not done any work on the fact that my mother was beginning the harsh effects of Dementia. Family wasn't asked to come in, no tests were done, nothing. I guess if you're older than 70, doctors couldn't care less about your issues. So they just let it slide. There is a huge disconnect between Doctors and the diagnosis of Alzheimer's/Dementia. And this doctor is no exception. My mother had fallen a few times and hit her head. Still no Katz scan done and no family called. I felt very out of the loop and it's as if her doctor was too.
