Reception doesn't answer the phone, and not overly helpful over email. Been twice and sat in the waiting room for at least 1.5 hours past appointment slot each time. Hard to judge her knowledge when she says about 3 words to you and then hands you a prescription with out mentioning what its for. Waiting room is full of patients every time, maybe should be trying to actually care for fewer numbers of patients within a day than swiping as many OHIP cards as possible.

rude impatient assumed my dad was dementia instead of extrem hearing loss. Scheduled a surgical removal and a biopsey of 2 spots . removel first the 2nd person biopsed the surgiacal site with 2 others?????????????

Ii have been to Dr Alams twice and find her to be well informed and answered my questions in non medical terms so I could understand And did not ask her ti repeat She also has a great haircut

Very disappointed in Dr.Alam she removed the wrong mole, very rude, unprofessional and inpatient, will never return. Left with unnecessary scar and no trust in Doctor, bad news travels further than good.

Dr. Alam was excellent, but her office staff leave something to be desired. They were unfriendly, short with patients and very unhelpful. Dr. Alam asked me to make an appointment six months down the road. But, when I talked with the secretary, she was short and said, "My book doesn't go that far ahead. So, I can't schedule you. You'll have to come back another time." That was very unprofessional. I was asked to set an appointment and was unable to do so, so I haven't been back.

After waiting 1+ hour to get in she barely walks over to see my face which I know is rosacea basically tells me only option is pills with cream write script and leaves (even thou clear do not want to be on pills for ever is there an end) says no have it for life. then gone.

Saw Dr. Alam today. First had to wait a month and a half to see her for hair loss.. When i got refferred to her i explained to the GP that I was having hair loss, my acne was getting bad and my excema was bad.I waited until my apointment today, had to wait a hour and a half to get in to see her. I understood the staff was very busy and had their hands full and was doing the best that they could, thats not the frustrating part. When she came in she looked at my form and says "i can only see you for your hair, acne, or excema not all three" At first i was a little baffled, i believed i asked her really?? She goes yeah thats not on the refferral, i know I told my GP to write down acne and excema, and my main concern was hairloss. Im a RPN so i do know what I am talking about. I said okay well we can focus on my hair but can i have a scrpit for my excema cause its brutal on my hands and showed her my hands and she wouldnt even write out a corisone perscription... Gave me a scrpit for dandruff shampoo & also Rogaine which i can just get over the counter??? WASTE OF TIME. The shampoo weas 40 bucks didnt even fill it, and i dont necessarly want to use rogaine but she didnt give me much options. Dont get me wrong, i can tell shes knowledgeable but maybe she needs to take more time wiht each patient... Woulda taken her 5 seconds to write my scrpit out then me having to book a appointment with my GP AGAIN.

I'm very happy I ended up getting referred to Dr. Alam. She took the time to diagnose my condition properly, after it was missed by my family doctor and another specialist. We're lucky to have her in Barrie.

I saw her last December 2012, she was on time my results were coming back when I was in Florida for the winter so they emailed me the results. I called and made an appointment when I got back and they can see me with in 2 weeks. Nice that she can see me so fast not like our GP or specialist you wait over a month for an appointment.

I saw her today (april 29) and she was GREAT! I had several issues and she addressed them one at a time and gave me great advice. She repeated that she was 'only a phone call away' if I had any further questions or symptoms. I HIGHLY recommend her!

The staff was polite and efficient. As for Dr. Alam... not so much. She does not answer your questions. In fact, she barely lets you ask a question without interrupting and telling you to listen to what she is saying. Also, I have met 3 other patients from her office ranging from 21-42 years of age and I find it hard to believe that all 3 patients have the exact same acne yet they are all on the same medications and seeing NO results. I would not recommend her at all... I would advise anyone to take the drive to another city for better care as I did.
