Dr. Martinek gave my anesthetic for my knee arthroscopy. He suggested I try local anesthesia with sedation. I was anxious at first, but he took the time to explain it to me and I went ahead with his suggestion. Wow! I watched the whole thing and didn't feel a thing. I felt so good I went home shortly after and didn't feel sick once. First time in my life I didn't get sick afterwards.

Made me feel completely at ease and with little concern over the procedure. He literally talked me through an artheroscopy on my knee and I got the feeling his number one concern was my comfort level and lucidity. All doctors in Brantford should learn from this man about bedside manner.

Dr. Martinek did my Pre-op and was not supposed to do my surgery, but when the other Doctor was snowed in, he came in to administer my anaesthesia. After the pre op I felt so calm due to his great manner, sense of humour and thorough explanations for all of my questions. He followed up with me in recovery as well. When he showed up on that morning, I was very happy to see him and knew I would be in good hands. BGH day surgery was also awesome.
