I struggled a lot with my decision to have an elective amniocentesis and I am thankful that Dr. Torrance was the one to administer the procedure. She made sure that all of mine and my husband's questions were answered and her responses were honest, even if they weren't necessarily the answers we wanted to hear. She basically narrated the procedure for me, letting me know what each step was and what to expect, and let me know that it was going well 3 times throughout (it's quite short, so this was a wonderful amount of reassurance). She has a very calming presence, which in her line of work, is invaluable. She was kind, friendly and caring following the procedure, making sure I felt well enough to stand and checking in to make sure I was still feeling fine a couple of times before I left the hospital.

I had an emergency c section at MAC and Dr. Torrance was on when I came in. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and most of all very calm. I came in with a very serious condition that day after they discovered it on ultrasound and she saved my life and my daughters. I would recommend her to anyone and the nurses at MAC L&D were awesome!!
