After some negative experiences with other health care professionals, I knew I had to hold on to Dr. Rae after meeting her at Queen's Student Health 11 years ago. At our first appointment, I noticed her keen and genuine interest in both my mental and physical health, and her interest, more generally, in me as an individual. Her attitude was relaxed, but professional, as she took considerable time to help me navigate my own ongoing health issues and the health care system at large. Dr. Rae's involvement and dedication ensured that my poor health did not impede my ability to obtain necessary accommodations, complete courses, and ultimately graduate with high aspirations for the future. While recovery took hard work on my end, I accredit much of the good health I now enjoy to her. I have continued to see Dr. Rae on a regular basis because I know that she is totally irreplaceable. Without her, I simply wouldn't be where I am now.

Completely unprofessional and always late. She cares more about her reputation than the health and well being of her patients. Having had an eating disorder myself, hearing her laugh and joke about such things in public the second she leaves the office, has really set me back.

I have known Dr. Rae for over four years and have experienced the most productive partnership that has not only empowered me within an otherwise daunting medical system, but also has given me the tools to ensure my continued well being. She understands that her role as a doctor is to help by coaching her patients. This doctor does not fit the stereotypical 3 Bs – Brash, Boorish, and Bullying. She is kind, a good listener and models her practice based on the best doctors who place emphasis on the 3 Cs – Caring, Communicative, and Creative. When I was faced with debilitating and unexpected illness, her fearlessness at finding solutions combined with her professional creativity were pivotal in my rehabilitation. I am forever grateful to have known this astounding caregiver that will go the extra mile for her patients. Other doctors should take a few lessons from this consummate professional.

Dr. Rae is a fantastic doctor that genuinely cares about her patients. Although she is always late-expect to wait a good 45 to 60 minutes-her thoroughness and care is worth the wait. She is approachable, friendly, and straightforward. She does not rush you out of the appointment and is open to whatever concerns you may have. She seems aware of current/recent research, new types of tests or treatments, and is willing to go the extra mile to rule things out or refer you to an expert. She has experience dealing with chronic illnesses, is a medical doctor, and (I think) also a therapist. I wish I could keep her as my permanent family doctor and send family/friends to her as well!

Dr. Rae is amazing! I've seen her for over 3 years, twice a month. She *not* your "typical" family doctor. She saw a void in the area of counseling, and took it upon herself to help fill it. My quality of life has improved ten-fold. She helps me through my darkest days, and also shares in light-hearted laughter. Dr. Rae has advocated on my behalf, and helped me realize I am capable of making a difference in my own future. Each appointment is open to whatever is on my mind. This flexibility is invaluable. She brings counseling to a whole new level. We need more doctors like her, who genuinely care about their patients emotional wellbeing - and do something to improve it.

I really do not care about Dr. Rae's punctuality, I would wait for however long it takes to see this Dr. She was recommended to me by a friend and I would now recommend her to anyone, no matter what your age is. She is extremely knowledgable and very understanding and patient.

Dr. Rae, though she is rarely running on time-- actually never is unless you're first-- is the best doctor you'll see if you have mental health problems you need help with. It'll be hard to get an appointment with her, but it's like that for a reason thanks to her skills! :)

Regarding punctuality, remember that quality care takes time, and its 100% worth waiting in the waiting room to see her. Dr. Jennifer Rae is the best doctor I have ever seen. She is very caring, and takes the time to understand what your particular concerns are, and addresses them thoroughly.
