I also feel that he doesn't really care about his patients and is away far too often. Anymore I am happy to get one of the other doctors that stand in for him at least they take good care of you. After they point out an issue to him he gets all involved like he really cares but I think it is only to save face and then he goes over board and orders all kinds of test that are over kill. Wish he would either look after us or retire and then maybe we will end up with a doctor who really cares.

Excellent family physician; knowledgeable; uses computer as he must but always pays attention to patient. Available. When I have needed it I have had very good care, with referrals as needed; not overbearing or paternalistic. I feel he trusts the patient.

nice man but i always felt like he didnt really want the pracyise. alot of us were patients of al mcbride who jumpd ship on a friday night & left us without any decent notice except an add in the paper basically saying "see ya"..anyway i think french was coaxed into taking the practise on & did well at the start....then came the computers! from then on u told ur issues to the side of his head as he typed,,,he only hears part of it and seems suprised at evrything u tell him,,,e.g."its been like that since surgery"...he looks shocked & says "surgery?!!?? u had surgery???...oh right, right!!"... doesnt instill a whole lot of confidence! but very nice man...hahaha

I have been a patient of his since his office first opened in Kingston. He is often out of the office for months at a time, has been growing his business and his staff and concentrating on organizing a "drive through clinic". He updates his computer info as he listens to your problem, reassures you, and as the saying goes "take two asprins and call me next year". I am totally dissatisfied and would be thrilled to find a doctor in Kingston who cares about his/her patients.
