I've been going to Dr. Tenki for about 3 years now. At first I found him to a bit on the arrogant side and eager to push prescriptions on you. As I began seeing him a bit more often I find him very knowledgeable and friendly. I've had a few interactions where he showed his humorous side and I like that to be present in a Dr./patient relationship. His staff is always very accommodating regardless of how trivial the topic may be. My only complaint would be is I get the sense of being rushed with visits and don't always get the chance to be as thorough as I would like to be when discussing matters of importance.

Dr. Tenki seems to be very knowledgeable. He takes time to explain everything clearly in layman's terms which is very helpful.

I used to run around without a family doctor as I am young and healthy and I can go to the clinic in the university when it is needed. After my daughter was born we started seeing Dr. Tenki. Initially it feels that he is a bit at distant, after a few more visits it seems he knows us more and becomes more friendly --- well maybe these are just personal feelings on my side as it often takes time for me to feel at ease with people. From the very beginning, he is throughout, knowledgeable, clear, clam, patient and kind. He listens carefully, explains using plain language, and does not hesitate to make a referral or order tests when he feels it is necessary. His clinic may be small but he is a good doctor. And his stuff is caring too, they take things serious for infants and normally could arrange an appointment quickly. The only thing is that sometimes it is quite hard to get hold of them over the phone but that is the same case with lots of other clinics. Their answering machines does not take messages, but it is not a big deal--though sometimes it is frustrating to hear that, it is better than taking messages and never getting back to you, and taking directly is always the best way.

I recently moved to Kitchener and was looking for a family doctor. I feel the connotation of Dr. Tenki, Inc. to be a bit cold and impersonal. In an initial consultation during my quest to find a new family doctor (mine is retiring...have been with him for 32 years) he said he would deny my request to be referred to the diabetes clinic and would attend to any issues himself. This is when he lost me. I don't need nor want an arrogant, self-absorbed physician who is going to send me off to his little circle of associates (you watch my back and I'll watch yours). I require a doctor with more experience, a good bedside manner and has the ability to send me to others who specialize in a focused area of medicine. Just my opinion after one consult.

Tries to help & if unable to or not sure he will send you to someone who can usually help. Very pleasant & listens & discusses problems. Receptionist is very nice & helpful. Glad to have him as it is very difficult to find a good family doctor anymore here in Ontario.

I was very lucky to finally find a doctor and one that is pro-active in preventing future possible problems. He take every precaution to make sure that I got the best treatment possible. He listens to every concern and explains everything in great detail. I am very lucky to have found such a caring and knowledgeable doctor

While the waiting room is small, it is kept clean and during the winter is heated comfortably. The receptionist is a very busy but organized individual and will pull through on any request you have of her. As for Dr. Tenki himself, he is very thorough and knowledgeable, and does not seem pompous or arrogant. On top of that, when he explains things he does not treat you like an idiot and goes in to detail instead.

I found the office waiting area to be dirty, dingy and too small for the number of patients waiting. The numerous notices preaching his policy were condescending, assumptive and rude. To put it kindly; it was not a welcoming or inviting first impression. With regards to his knowledge, he made assumptions and didn't ask enough questions. And made up bullshit when caught in an incorrect conclusion. So, now I'm stuck with this guy as my doctor because they are so hard to come by but I'll jump ship as soon as possible. I felt sorry for his receptionist, she was run ragged.

Dr. Tenki is very thorough. He listens to you when you speak and takes his time to explain the different options and treatments. Sometimes he can be running a little bit behind however I don't mind as he always addresses all of the issues and questions I have.

Very easy to talk to, open to a discussion and really makes an effort to convey what the problems are and what the treatment options are. He also goes that extra mile for what is best for his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Tenki.

Dr. Tenki is SO easy to talk to. He listen's and engage's you in conversation instead of writing an easy prescription and sending you on your way. Bar none, Dr. Tenki is my very favourite doctor and his staff is amazing!!!
