I have always found Dr Faraawi to be courteous, friendly, and attentive to my needs. He never refused help when I needed it. Eileen, his receptionist, is a delight. I have come to believe that you should treat people with respect, and you will receive the same.

I had an appointment with dr. Faraawi at the end of October. I was referred to him by my family doctor because of the excruciating pain in my back, back ribs and neck. I had waited for almost 4 months to see him with the hope that he will gave me something to help me with the pain, especially when I have my rheumatism attacks. During those attacks, sometimes, my husband has to help me getting to the washroom, not to mention about feeding me or giving me water because I cannot move from bed. I do not recommend dr. Faraawi especially because he already had my diagnosis decided even before seeing me. The consultation, if I can call it that, was very brief (not more than 7 minutes) and consisted of: - He very lightly touched my sternum - He then asked me to squeeze his fingers with both my hands so he could see the muscle strength - He asked me to bend forward with my hands raised - Finally, he checked (touched) both my hips As a result, after this consultation, he told me that I am a perfectly healthy woman of 45 years of age and that there is nothing in the world he could do for me. I do have MRI tests and also blood tests which tell otherwise but he didn’t want to look at those. Furthermore, he did tell me that I have to lose weight, keep a diet and do home based exercises. Regarding my weight, I did indeed gain a lot but it was because for the last 2 years I was under a hormonal treatment with the risk of hysterectomy. Regarding diet and exercise, how can I even do that when I am in bed, crouching in pain. But he never asked me anything about my medical history in any way. He was also very rude and, at the end of the consultation he literally told me that I could leave his office. Later on, I got his report from my family doctor, and his assessment was one almost psychiatric rather than related to his specialty – rheumatology. Since, to me, it seemed that he was taking great pleasure from his rude and coarsely behaviour, I can only assume that he is very unhappy and that he may need specialized help himself if, as a doctor, he cannot refrain from such behaviour and try to help the people coming to see him.

I read some previous negative reviews and was worried about going but they turned out to be wrong. Staff was excellent and he was both knowledgeable and compassionate
