He felt like family to me. Like I had a home for once. He gave me meaning and hope. Now I feel empty without him. I wish I could do more for him in return but I have this habit of being really stupidly naive and sabotaging everything we accomplish together.

I have been seeing Dr. Grynspan for quite some time. I saw my fair share of doctors before him but nobody compares. He is the most patient person I have ever met. He saved my life countless times. I had a lot of terrible people in my life and he restored my faith in humanity. I have recommended him to everyone I know and even used his advice to help my family members and peers with their mental health. He saw me through my worst moments and I will be forever in his debt.

I'm really surprised to read the comments here, because Dr. Grynspan was by far the worst clinician I ever saw. He was condescending and antagonistic from the first few minutes of my first appointment, and he displayed a striking lack of ability to think in a nuanced way. Every appointment he said at least one thing that kept me upset until my next appointment. He didn't listen at all and had no interest in my perspective or my experience. To give one example, he asked me what had gone wrong with my previous therapist, and I said he had said things about me that I didn't consider accurate--and then I gave one example of such a statement. Grynspan responded by referring to that statement as an "insight"--despite the fact that I'd just said it wasn't true! And in case you think Grynspan was perceiving something about me that I wasn't aware of, keep in mind this was our FIRST appointment... so he had just met me. I have many more such stories, but I don't want this comment to go on forever. Suffice it to say that this guy isn't always the miracle worker that the previous commenters seem to think he is, and that sometimes he causes harm. If you've been harmed by him, know that you are not alone.

Turned my life around after no one else could help. Professional, knowledgeable, and extremely easy to talk to. He actually listens and addresses issues, recommends extra reading, goes out of his way to make sure you have resources to work with when you are waiting for your next appointment, and is very patient. Highly recommend; by far the best psychiatrist I have seen out of many.

He is an amazing doctor! I am so thankful to be his patient. At first I was nervous to have a male doctor since I am a female, but he is very patient, kind and compassionate. When I first started seeing him I was going through some horrible depressions and he saw me though some of my worst moments, saving my life countless times and helping me address issues that had weighed me down for years. He changed my life and I'm going to miss him when I graduate!

Very attentive and astute. Always willing to listen to the true problems, instead of applying a "one-size-fits-all" solution to each patient. The staff is very helpful, Janice in particular has always help me through any situation she could help me with. Thanks to both Janice and Dr Grynspan
