Dr Woodend can appear 'cold' at times, but I suspect this is just her personality. I personally want a Dr that is down to business, and has the knowledge to assess me properly and send me on my way. If I want to sit around and have a friendly chat, the Dr's office is the last place I'd go. I've been seeing her for 5 years now and she is always on time and helpful. She appreciates my busy schedule as much as her own, and eliminates the need for an appointment just to get blood work by leaving the workup at the counter for me to pick up. If you want a Dr that will spend your appointment (and someone else's) chatting about life etc., then she is not the doctor for you.

It is thanks to her that I was diagnosed with Diabetes and have gotten really good care. She follows up closely and regularly. I like that she is straight forward, and not trying to be a friend. She is very professional. It is what I look for in a doctor. If I wanted someone to be always smiley, I would go to a friend. If you tell her exactly the reason why you are seeing her, she gives good straight care. I could not ask for a better doctor. I recommend her to many people.

My son and I had Dr. Woodend and was not very impressed. When he was 2 months old he began vomiting ALOT and brought him in to see her. She said it's what babies do. I went for a second opinion and turned out to be something quite serious. Needless to say, we have a different doctor now. She is very punctual, but like the other ratings, not the friendliest. Doesn't make you want to open up about the issue you are there for.

Dr. Woodend is a fairly new doctor, but a good one all around. In my humble opinion, when she does smile and allows her guard to lower a little - it always makes me feel better. We're lucky to have her.

Dr. Woodend is very knowledgeable and is always on time. She's not the smiliest or friendliest but that isn't necessary when she is so good at her job.
