I would not recommend this doctor. Her communication is awful, she does not return phone calls, even if it is to tell her that the treatment she wants you to do is unavailable and you need to know the next step. Decides to stop prescribing medication with no warning, and not telling you or the pharmacy so you are left waiting and wondering why the script hasn't been filled yet. Mainly lack of communication, takes almost three weeks to get an appointment, even for urgent issues, wait is at least an hour even with an appointment. Unfortunately just don't feel like she cares and has any desire to fix medical issues.

If every family physician is like Dr. Silva, we will all be laughing and will have no need to submit rating. She is excellent, excellent, excellent. As a male, I have apprehensions seeing a female doctor, but not Dr. Silva. She is caring and takes the time to take proper medical history, explores all options and does not hesitate to make referrals. My family has enjoyed her as a family physician. Anytime she is on vacation and we have to see someone else as it just happened recently (July 2013), we see the difference. Clearly. God bless Dr. Silva.

Dr. Silva is one of the kindest person i have known. She is caring and genuine. She follows up with her patience right away. And also has witty sense of humour.

Dr. Silva is very kind and caring. She listens well, doesn't push pills too readily which is a plus. She follows up really well, and her staff change in 2011 has made a big difference too. I don't usually have to wait long for her. So far, she has handled all my situations with expertise and is willing to have tests done when there is a need. I really like her and appreciate her very much!!

Dr Silva is very sweet and takes her time with her patients, which why sometimes appointments start a little late, but that also means that YOU too will have as much time as you need and your appointment will not be rushed.

Sometimes the wait is long - however, I have been in the office with her when she spent extra time with me. So, taking care of the patient she is with is important to her. I appreciate having her!

Reception have no idea how to do their job. They had to ask me what I booked the appointment for as I'm going into the exam room (not when I checked in), after I told them when I booked the appointment. Afterwards they thought I was a different patient all together and tried to tell me I had paperwork from another Dr. - I have no other Dr. When I called to inquire about a simple question about a consultation fee I was left on hold for a long time, only to have the same receptionist pick up and assume I was a new person calling and start the hold process all over again. The wait can be long depending on what kind of patients are before you. Though even when the waiting room was empty I was waiting for almost an hour, only to be rushed out in two minutes with a very vague answer to my questions. I had to ask what my diagnosis was just to get the Dr. to say it. Horrible. Go somewhere else.

The only reason Punctuality gets a 4 is because Dr. Silva takes such great care of her patients she is always willing to spend a little more time with each - well worth the wait everytime.
