I met Dr Scully 3o years ago! I was 8 years old and dying! My family was told that there was not hope for recovery and to prepare for my death! thats when Dr scully came into my life and gave my family hope! 12 days later recieved a liver transplant! its now 30 years later she is still my doctor! Dr Scully is very intelligent, smart, caring, and goes above and beyond for her patients! If you have any liver problems she is the doctor you want to see!! not only did dr scully save my life she has also saved many others over the years!! Thank You!

Very caring, knowledgeable, has been my liver specialist for 25 years, 15 before my liver transplant and 10 years after. It was her excellent care that kept me going for 15 years before I needed a liver transplant.

My husband was referred to Dr. Scully last summer when he was diagnosed with advanced cirrhosis as she is known to be *the* doctor to see regarding the liver. Because of his condition, she saw him right away. The cause of the cirrhosis was unknown and she told us she stayed awake nights trying to figure it out (a hunch that it was a rare condition that caused a blood clot later proved correct). Over the course of several months my husband experienced several extreme complications leading to nearly 6 months at the Ottawa Civic and Toronto General where he received a living donor liver. While at the Civic he was technically under the care of the internists and ICU, but Dr. Scully was kept in the tight loop and came for visits to let us know how things were going on her end regarding communications with the transplant team in Toronto. Over the course of the last several months we have learned that Dr. Scully is highly respected in her field by doctors everywhere. Everyone we met knows her. We already knew we were in good hands with her, but they confirmed it. Dr. Scully does have a straight-forward, no nonsense approach. If you are looking to be coddled, you won't find it here. However, if you want the facts and someone who will push for you, she's your woman. Incidentally, my calls have always been answered by her staff. They also have a good reputation outside of Ottawa. I'm not sure why other reviewers had difficulty.

was told first thing that more than likely I would never find out what's wrong..never called to confirm appt., never did follow up to MRCP..called twice no answer.
