RE: BREAST CANCER RECONSTRUCTION....I know Dr. Jugenburg is renowned for his cometic surgery performance, and trust me, if ever I consider cosmetic surgery of any kind, Dr. Jugenburg would be the ONLY physician I would use. My experience with this incredibly talented physician was based on a different level. Upon being diagnosed with breast cancer I contacted Dr. Jugenburg's office not quite sure of the questions I needed to ask. I simply stated that I was diagnosed and eventually would like to consider breast reconstruction. I wanted to know at what point would this include his expertise. His staff quickly instructed me on how to reach him directly and within two days I was in his office discussing the options that I would have with breast reconstruction. Not having any awareness prior to my diagnosis I was surprised to find out that depending on when you start reconstruction and based on any surgeries or treatments you may have already had for your cancer diagnosis, your options for reconstruction can be limited. Dr. Jugenburg then proceeded to work with my current general surgeon (as I live out of town) and arranged for my surgery to be altered to prepare me for reconstruction with him. I have gone through all the procedures for a complete bi-lateral reconstruction to date with Dr. Jugenburg and I can't tell you how happy and grateful I am that I was in this skilled man's excellent care for it all. The bonus is that the results of my reconstruction FAR surpassed my expectations and hopes! And I am a particular sort of gal so that is saying A LOT! I owe this physician a world of thanks for the work that he has done for me. As for his staff, they are kind, thoughtful, sweet and professional. I don't know where he finds these ladies, but it reflects the man at the helm of the ship. As mentioned Dr. Jugenburg is perhaps more known for his cosmetic surgery abilities and performance however please know that this Dr. is one of the highest trained physicians in reconstruction surgery. If you know anyone with Breast Cancer who is considering surgery at all, they should be contacting this accomplished and capable surgeon.
