This doctor is rude, abrupt and uncaring. She always makes it a unpleasant visit. She speaks to you as if you are less than human and never listens to what you have to say. I am looking for another doctor, but as everyone knows this is a different task.

Rudest worst doctor. Abrupt, just wants to get you in and out as fast as she can and believe you me she can do it fast. 15 minutes for a physical and 5 minutes for a normal visit. Hence the reason you never need to wait for an appointment as she runs her office like a military camp. She does not have the patients best interest at heart, she does not like people so not sure why she became a doctor, she is actually very scary

Dr. Catherine McKechnie in Whitby is unkind, rude and does not listen to your symptoms or concerns. From the very first visit she was very cold-hearted and I stayed with her for a few years so this was no a one-time occurrence. Some examples: She asked me if I wanted to keep my baby after she knew my husband and I were trying to conceive for a long time and I had gone to her to stop mediation and start vitamins before trying as well. She did not listen to me when I told her I was not having morning sickness and wrote me a prescription for morning sickness medication anyways. If you are late for an appointment she will be extremely rude (even a few minutes late) and may refuse to see you. She is extremely punctuality and her staff are nice but I rated her low because I did not want her to have a higher rating then what she really deserves. She also did not tell me that I had an ovarian cyst when she received my ultrasound results, I had to find out weeks later from my midwife when she was reviewing the records, I then had to go to another doctor to have the results explained to me because at that point I was never going back to Dr. McKechnie. Please do not go to her and please do not allow an elderly patient or vulnerably person to see her. I wish I had written a formal complaint against her when this happened because she should not be a doctor.

Worst doctor that I have seen so far. Does not care what you feel, and she is always right attitude, never spent more than 5 minutes and you are out of the mill! If you complaint about an issue when it shows up - too early to treat; and you wait for it to figure out the trend - you better live with the problem as you already have been...can't win it is catch 20/20 rather than going to a doctor to get treated. I am writing to the college about the way she treated me.

Always can get an appointment within a day or two. Never wait more than 10 minutes to see her. Great with kids. Can be abrupt but is always professional.
